Sino Group's electric vehicle charging stations power new environmental protection initiatives in Hong Kong

Sino Property Services (SPS) is committed to implementing environmental protection initiatives and strongly supports the use of environment-friendly vehicles. Last year, Sino Parking launched a Green Parking Promotion that offers 40%-off discount on hourly parking and allocated priority parking spaces in its 13 flagship carparks for environment-friendly cars. This year, joining hands with CLP, SPS has installed two electric vehicle chargers in each of the five carparks at Olympian City 2, Tuen Mun Town Plaza Phase I, China Hong Kong City, Kwun Tong Harbour Plaza and Gold Coast Shopping Mall, with CLP offering a free charging service until end of this year.

These charging stations are now fully operational and new ones will be installed in the carparks of Olympian City 1 and Skyline Tower within this year. The service will expand to residential carparks next year. Sunny Yeung, Executive Director of Sino Group and Head of Sino Property Services, said, “CLP, as our long-term partner, shares with us a common belief in promoting environmental protection. In a time when environment-friendly transportation is growing in popularity, we are pleased to work with CLP to become the first property management company that offers free charging service to electric vehicles, in order to encourage the public to practice environmental protection in their daily life and so to reduce air pollution.”

Long dedicated to environmental protection, Sino Property Services has received a number of accreditations, including ISO14001 Certification on Environmental Management System and Hong Kong Green Mark Certification. Many SPS-managed properties also became pilot projects to apply the Carbon Audit Guidelines jointly drawn up by the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) and the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD). Through carbon audits and other emission reduction measures, SPS spares no effort to reduce air pollution and to improve air quality.
