Sino Holds the 7th 'Mooncake Speaks for My Heart' Event to Bring Mid Autumn Festive Joy to Elderly

'Mooncake Speaks for My Heart', the annual Mid Autumn Festival celebration function for elderly, organized by Sino Estates Management Limited (SENL) and Sino Club, was completed.

This is the 7th consecutive year for Sino Group to organize the function to express our thanks to the seniors. Same as past years, Sino residents joined Sino Volunteer Team to be the 'Caring Ambassadors'. They brought along mooncakes and fruits to visit over 450 seniors of the elderly centres under Salvation Army in Lam Tin, Tseung Kwan O and Yau Ma Tei. Another 100 elderly were treated to a celebration buffet dinner on the 75/F of Central Plaza. Mr Andy Yuen and Mr C W Kwan, General Managers of SEML joined representatives from Salvation Army attended the party.

Mr Andy Yuen said at the dinner party, 'Besides shelter and medical care, what the seniors need most is love and care. It has been the mission of Sino Group to serve the community and thus the function is held every year to show our care to the senior citizens.'

The beneficiary this year is The Salvation Army, which is an international charity organization with elderly service being provided since 1961. At present, there are 26 units offering comprehensive care to the seniors.

Apart from buffet dinner, the celebration party featured dance performance, Chinese opera by kids, magic show and Chinese lantern riddles. The evening's programme came to a climax with a lucky draw, whereby everyone brought home many attractive gifts along with fond memories of the dinner gathering.
